A getrag will shred off the line with a 3.76 rear end, but a 3.1 rear end would be a much more sensible choice for street manners. Perhaps the ultimate rear end for the Getrag would be the 3.2 JDM gears, since you would have the best of both worlds.
Nevertheless, a 3.76 geared 6MT is not really suggested.
If you want to keep the SC's axles, I would suggest the 3.26 rear from the 5AT 98-00 SC400 and GS400. Swapping the LSD unit from the Auto TT diff itself onto the 5AT's more appropriate ring gear ratio and into the pumpkin with fewer fitment constraints would be logical.

I just took a look at my spare W58 transmission.. 97-SC300 was right. thanks for the prompt reply
The speed sensor for the sc300 IS, in fact, a 3 wire sensor. I e-mailed the yellow box guys, and told them to send me a 3 wire (instead of a 2wire) yellow box.
I'll keep this thread alive with any/all updates.
FYI:
6spd supra TT = 3.133 (all had LSD)
auto supra TT = 3.76 (93-96 had LSD, 97-98 LSD was an option)
5spd sc300 = 4.08
auto sc300 = 4.27

it's off by about 12%.
When the speedo says 50mph, I'm actually travelling 56mph.
When it says 70mph, i'm actually going 78mph. etc..
I ordered the Yellow Box. it should be here within 10 days, supposedly (coming from australia). They're gona send me the 3 wire unit, so i'm hoping itll work just fine.
well, on the positive side (for the time being), for evey 112 miles I drive, the odometer only counts 100 miles, right?

Hey guys, update time. Australia FTW!
They shipped out the package on Thursday, and it arrived on Tuesday- shipping was only $10
I think I'll install this thing sometime tommorrow. Should I install it at the speed sensor on the tranny, or at the actual ECU?
yellow=power
red=ground
blue w/red stripe= signal
I know the signal wire could be found on the ECU.. does anyone know which pins on the ECU the yellow and red wire are at- or could I simply use any power and ground?
