Please Help
Ok my car has been giving me problems for a while. i put a non oem tsp sensor on the car. after a few days the car started acting funny. it was idling really high and if i touch the tps sensor the tps motor that it connects to starts making a grinding sound almost. it acts as if there is a short or something in the tps sensor or the motor. sometimes the car will lose the gas petal. just restart and its fine. i tested all the parts. tps, pps, and even the motor and everything tested ok. i have 5v to the tps and the ohm tests everything passed. what else can be tested so im not just throwing parts at this thing. any help is appreciated.

I have an 01 is300 myself that i had issues with. Turned out to be the tps. I had replaced with an autozone one but still had issues. Turns out the connector wasnt a snug enough fit so when id hit a bump or it would wiggle it would cut into limp mode and throw codes. Be sure the connector is a tight fit and check your voltages with your car idling after it is warmed up

The plug connection to the tps is good. When i touch the tps not wiggle it just touch it the motor sounds as if it's grinding and tweaking out. I think it's either the motor going out orrrr this cheap tps sensor. It has a metal cover or something over the top that can move and when i touch it the thing goes ham. I'll get a pic and video later if i can.

I have a 1998 SC300 and have the exact symptoms as the original post....after 10 minute warm up, sudden loss of acceleration. CEL came on showing a P1120 code.
I bought the OEM throttle body lever sensor part number 22060-46010. Installed it. CEL turned off and I thought all was great again.
After about 10 minutes, I started losing acceleration again! CEL came on. This just happened today so I havent had a chance to check the code but Im sure it will be the same.
Any clues on this? Maybe I got a bad replacement part?

Update to my last post. It ended up being the apps for my 01is300. I did it last as it was the most expensive. Put the old tps back and and returned it as well.

There is a link with pdf files on how to diagnose P1120 and P1121 in there and some other info in that post.

Man, I just pulled a Bart Simpson. Doh!
When I pulled off the broken sensor, I looked at both for awhile comparing them...I ended up re-installing the SAME OLD broken part, and not the new replacement one!
I examined the lever sensor closely on the engine and noticed it did not look new. I took it off, made sure I installed the NEW one and all is good again now.
AT least for me, it IS the lever sensor 22060-46010.
