Default "WOW" transmission mount

All i can say is WOW.. i just changed my tranny mount on my 97 sc400 with 113000 miles. And it rides like a complete dream now.. this is the way the car is supposed to ride. I want to say thanx to all other members on here that posted about the tranny mount... It completely eliminated all of the minor noises and vibration in the car.. Now its time for some rims, springs, and shocks...

damn.. that good huh?

I can feel minor vibration in my shifter, no where near my last car. But im wondering if its anywhere near what it could be...

Also the drive shaft rubber pieces i have heard are also a culprit.

Changed my tranny mount of my SC400 and the noise from the center console is gone!

Less than $80 for the part and it is easy to install.

Talking SimplyZBes

I can relate to that problem, it made me think the car had an exhaust leak, I thought it could have been the centerline bearing, and I thought it was a manifold leak another time. It was only a tranny mount, lol........

How very interesting. Im experiencing the same symptoms with my 5spd SC. I should go out and have mine replaced.

The parts costs ~$50. The installation takes ~45 minutes. It is ~8 bolts off and 8 bolts back on with only a couple stands, a jack, and a socket set as the tools required.

If you pull your stock mount and it was in fact in great shape, you can sell it for a few bucks on the classifieds. If not, you can diagnose the problem for only a few bucks.

I say that the tranny mount is definitely worthy of strong consideration for the vibration or noise issue since the results are so staggering and the cost is so minimal.
