Default Supra twin turbo aluminum radiator installed in a 1992 sc300 5 speed (with pictures)

Ok well here is what i did step by step to install a Supra twin turbo radiator in my 1992 sc300 5 speed. I was going to wait till i got the 2jz-gte motor in before i installed the radiator, but the stock developed a crack so i had to do it first. Any ways i got this radiator on ebay for $234.00 shipped to my front door. The radiator cost $199 and i saw the exact same radiator for as low as $169 but didnt get to buy it before the auction expired.
Anyways this took about 2 hours to install and i was screwing around. I do have electric fans from a Nissan Stanza already installed so that probably made it a little easier. The Nissan fan install thread link is

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...ght=stanza+fan

So i developed a crack in my 160000 mile radiator on a hot Texas afternoon and it looked like this...........I do not like using JB Weld but it got me through the few days while i waited for my new Rad in the mail.

This is a picture of the bottom rad mount bushings that the radiator set into. A before and after. You have to drill them out a bit to get them to fit the new radiator. I drilled them out more then the picture. but you get the point

then i had to loosed the battery mount and push the battery to the driver side of the car a bit so i could trim the battery tray. This way the Radiator would slide right in place......I do not have a picture of this but its pretty easy to do and looks nice after your done.

Then i mounted my fans and plugged them back in and dropped the radiator back in place..............

you will need to trim about 1 inch off the upper radiator hose for it to fit right. Otherwise it will fold the hose and will not work...Just alittle trim and your golden...

oh i almost forgot..........this is the upper mount. Notice how i just moved the mount over and it still fit like a champ. This radiator is alot thicker then the stock one......holds it perfect

and the last picture of it installed.......
These fans are great even with the condensor and this thick *** radiator in place. Standing in front of the car you can feel the air being sucked into the bumper. We will see how well they work once i get the 2jzgte motor in there with a big *** frontmount and boost the SH%T out of it.....
