Default Couple of (Dirty Engine Parts) Questions

To start i have a 94 sc300 w/ 134k.... While replacing my plugs i noticed my throttle body was super dirty, what should i use to clean all of that up? Also, after i changed my plugs, the next day i drove to school and back and that night i was driving on the highway and my check engine light came on and has stayed on ever since. What could it be? Thanks for your time...

Not sure about the cel, but what do you mean by your throttle body being dirty? Take it off, remove sensors and hoses then spray with brake cleaner.

Dirty as in theres dirt/guk inside the throttle body, coming from the left side of the engine.

Engine Question = Engine Forum
Please title threads so people can search for them later.

NO they won't. They only do OBDII and 94 is OBDI. Just pull the code yourself with the TE1 and E1 pins and you will have your answer.

Search "pulling codes" in the SC section and it will give you a write up on how to pull the code for your check engine light and what it means.

Alrighty, took everything apart again and i put some old ngk's that i had laying around that i thought were new. Basically they failed... so i got some new ones and cleaned up my throttle body while i was installing the new NGK's and now everything is perfect! Except i need to replace my valve gasket because its leaking... But other than that my engine runs like she was new!

I was going to guess a mis-fire code because that happened to me (I cleaned my engine though)
