Default Clutch

So my 1jz will be in this week, And I know my stock Sc300 5speed clutch will not hold up. Anyone know what type of clutch I should get? If you could link a website of where you bought yours or etc. Will help a lot ! Thanks
Chad

For a turbo car I'd stick to a stage 2 clutch. Ive been using the Centerforce clutches which arent that bad. My next one will be the Dual Friction clutch. You can get them for a great price at Horsepowerfreaks.com.

So you think http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/pric...s/part/Stage_2 would be good for a 1jz, roughly 300-400 hp? Thanks ! If anyone knows another site / clutches tell me

On the topic of clutches, can anyone with experience using different friction plate surfaces comment on their experiences.

I, too, am shopping clutch kits. Since my R154-1UZ flywheel is pretty much one-off, I am looking for something that will not scar it to pieces. But, I will need something that will stick when I am blowing 8psi in the spring.

Also, can you trust the numbers that the clutch manufacturers are throwing up for their clutch kits? Do those numbers relate to crank or wheel tq/hp numbers?

Centerforce dual friction here, I absolutely love it. I've got a 6-puck like the ACT's in my Integra and it's sad when my errands car is harsher to drive than the project car.

Could someone with a Centerforce dual friction tell me the website you bought it from? Can't find one on Horsepowerfreaks.com. Summit has them but it doesn't come with pilot bearing etc. Was looking for a complete kit with alignment tool etc. Thanks !

The DF doesn't come with the pilot bearing or throwout bearing, Centerforce sells those separately.
