(1) The MKIII (not MKII) Supra received the 1JZ motor
(2) The manual shifter location from the Supra R154 is not correct on the SC
(3) The wiring is slightly different between the Supra and Soarer
(4) Soarer w/MT motorsets are rare to very rare because the shifter position and the plug-and-play wiring to the SC.

The motors themselves are both mid-rear sump, which makes things easy. But, the Soarer wiring would make things even easier.

The Supra R154 trans can be modified to use the Soarer shifter position. There are threads about this on this forum. The Soarer R154 present the correct shifter position to SC, MKIV Supra, and even Nissan guys. This is why these particular five speeds get gobbled up.
