Default Which is easier AT or MT ?

Alright fellas im on the verge of parting out my car and getting into the JDM scene, im trying to figure out, i know everything i want on my SC300 already... but i dont want to complicate thing if not necesary, will a soarer complete motor set swap easier into an AT sc300 or a MT one.... i contact a local shop that has dont many of them and he says he would have to do modify where the trans goes, barely, but needed, wondering if with MT is not needed...

Are you planning on putting a 5-speed 1JZ into it or an auto 1JZ? If you're going to put a 5-speed into it it'd obviously be easier to get a 5-speed SC so you wouldn't have to swap pedals, install a master cylinder, run the lines, etc. If you're going to put the 1JZ auto into it, no sense getting a rare 5-speed and converting it to auto.

If you're going to put a manual in it, you'd save yourself time and headaches by starting with a 5-speed car.

agreed. this is especially true with the sensitive issue of finding the proper trans with the proper shifter location.

The stock five speed trans can hold 375wtq all day. Getting over that number with a 1JZ takes a bit of work. Even at that number, you have one hell of a street car.

Have fun with the JDM scene.
