Default ARGGGHH! Power Steering Pump

Ok, so I replaced my power steering pump last fall, had the screen cleaned twice. I was great for awhile. Now Im getting a whine when i first start the car, very evident around 1k rpms, settles down a little after idling, but then whine pretty loud once rev'd above 2k RPMs. What the heck is going on here???

Is it a low-pitched or high-pitched whine? If it's low -

#1) Are you using p/s or a/t fluid in the reservoir?
#2) Did you flush the fluid when you cleaned the screen?

If it's high, maybe your pulley needs to be lubed?

Using A/T fluid per Lexus recommendations. Fluid was flushed before and after screen cleaning (maybe needs another flush). How would I lube the pulley? Its not real high pitched, but at high RPM its fairly loud, pretty much need to have windows down to really make out the sound. I could try Lucas ATF additive...

Sorry about the misplaced thread, although i really dont see how a power steering problem belongs in the "Performance" sub-forum! (If there is a power steering mod to give me an extra 10-15 hp, let me know! )

DOH! I found this hose kinked, i straightened it out a bit, and the whine disappeared. I remember Lexus wrote that some hose was replaced. I think they replaced a formed shape hose with this piece of flex hose. I might have to make them fix it. Bastards.

That was probably it, the hose caused the ps pump to slow the fluid entering. Keep us updated if it comes back or not.
