How to change the 120A fuse?
Hi,
I've searched the forum already, but couldn't find the right answer.
Today, when I tried to start my car, all of a sudden all the dash (warning) lights went of when I turned the key.
After checking the fusebox (the bigger one), I found the problem. The 120A fuse is blown (the 3rd one on the bottom).
Now I would like to know how to change it. I have tried to pull, but I couldn't move it at all. I saw some screws under the bigger fuses. Do I have to loose them to get it out?
Should I disconnect the battery?
Hope someone can help!

I believe that's the alternator fuse (120 amp). There are two bolts holding it in (one from each side). You have to unclip the red clip in that area and kinda lift that set of fuses up- after doing that, you could easily remove the fuse. If I remember correctly, u could use a 12mm socket. Yea, I'd reccomend disconnecting the battery just to be on the safe side..

Alright, I followed your instructions but still I can't get the blown fuse out.
I removed the screws/nuts on both sides but it seems like there's still something holding it.
What am I doing wrong? Do I have to remove every single the screws/nuts (also the ones from the other fuses)?

There's usually one, maybe two screws or small bolts holding in the fuse from UNDERNEATH the fuse. If you are sure you removed them, pull harder, it should come out.
Double check that you removed the screws/bolts from the correct fuse.
Did you hook the battery up backwards? I hope for your sake the fuse was just worn, if something is shorting to ground, it might be very difficult to find.

Hate to bump ancient thread but did you order yours from lexus? Lexus wants $30 plus shipping cause the nearest dealership is about 2-3 hours away not sure if there is an alternative
