Aprox what kind of 1/4 mile times would be expected with a SC300 5 sped w/ 1jz swap with intake/exhaust?

subtract a second and you'd be in the right range.

Tav, you definitely need to find me a $400 SC.

To stay on topic, high 13's and somwhere in the neighborhood of 100mph IIRC.

ok, i will, as soon as I finish everything. I just got the interior almost done, and I need exhaust and suspension, and rear wheels. The paint and body work i'll do myself, and I think you guys will laugh at how I actually do it. It definitely has alot of unique mods I haven't seen anyone else do here, so I'll be sure to post them up.

Please show me a stock 1JZ that makes 280hp running high 13's. I don't necessarily doubt you, but I have a very hard time believing it without seeing it or without a timeslip.

Simple logic:

Stock SC 5-speeds run 15.0s at about 90-91mph when running correctly.

You think adding 60 more hp will only net a couple tenths?

There are stock 1jz Supras running high 13s, so why not a SC300 that weighs about the same? And thats stock... he said intake/exhaust. Exhaust mods really open up JZ motors.

All right, I'm not gonna make this into a pissing contest, but we all know full well that no 300 runs 15 flat in stock trim. 15.8 if you're good, 16.1/16.2 is more the average driver. So, based on a 15.8 +60hp, the high 14's sound perfectly reasonable. Even with an intake and exhaust. That's a full second better with the +60 in the 1J AND the maybe +15 from intake/exhaust.

Well, when I meant stock 1jz, I meant with supporting mods, such as intake, IC and exhaust. I don't know anyone who keeps that stock during the swap. If everything was bone stock, 14's would be fair with a decent launch, but with supporting mods, 13s are pretty attainable.

Yeah, I've seen Chino's videos over and over. With just a tiny bit of work, the 1J starts to put out some serious power. 13's are fairly easy with some basic parts and some tuning.

I think we're on the same page. stock = 14's BPU=13's
