The newer shifter will bolt right into the old location. The wiring is the tough part. A few new wires are required to be used with the new shifter ecu. It needs an input from a speed sensor for example. Sorry I dont remember the complete list off the top of my head

I don't think anyone will argue that the gated shifter looks better than the dildomatic, but to me this is the most bland gated shifter on the market.
The plastic is bare with a lot of real estate and the numbers are plain jane, nothing exciting. It looks boring.......... but it DOES look much better than the DM.

This is as close to a write-up as I have gotten. This is the pinout of the gated shifter ECU. The new shifter assy will bolt right into the stock location. You may or maynot have to make an adjustment to the linkage between the transmission and bottom of the shifter assembly. The toughest part is getting your hands on the shifter assembly. Hope this helps.
