Default My New SC's engine problem, Should I worry ?

Hi everyone I just purchased a 92 SC400 110K Black / Tan interior
Heres the issues I have so far.

1. When I start the car up it struggles to stay on but when I try again it comes on no prob.
2. The speedometer needle not moving at all
3. The Rpm Tach needle just today decided not to work either.

I was worried so I went to a lex dealer and had him put my Vin # in the Service
tech said that the last time this car was serviced at a lex dealer was about 7 years ago but had been serviced up to 70,000 k

Now My engine is clean and the interior is well maintained.
I drove for about 50 miles today and the speed on this Machine is impressive
I have no plans to sell my Ride but can use some help.

Lex is charging me 196.00 for a general check over which $96.00 is going towards minor repairs.

So i made an appointment for this week.
my question is can i still drive my Car till that appointed time.

Thanks Ragga

Well for one, you should title your threads so we know what your talking about.

Just have the Lexus mechanic go through it....A good once over by the Lex mechanics for a SC you just bought is a good thing. Yes it will be expensive....Welcome to our world.

Is an an Automatic or a Standard? You can drive without a speedo in normal traffic because you can use other vehicles as a gauge for how fast your going. if your going the same speed as everyone else its not like Cops will pull you over.
