My SC1JZ Project
Well, I think its about time I posted my own thread on my buildup. I have been here on CL for a while now and I think its about time I showed my work. I did most of the work my self with the exception of pulling and droping in the motor. I want to thank Drunkcarlos for his help and support and letting compare his motor with mine as I tried to do the motorswap. My work schedule does not allow me to work on my car as much as I would like to, so the progress has been a bit slow.
Just a bit of a background, I am here in Japan, I bought a Nissan 180SX Type X for weekend drifting and touge'. And after two years I upgraded to a Toyota Soarer. I fell in love with the Soarer so much I decided that it would be the car for me to build when I came back to the States. Fortunately, My family and I went to Guam on vacation (back home for my wife) and I found a 92 Lexus SC300 5spd and Navy guy was selling. I ended up picking the car up for 2500.00 and I shipped back to Japan for another 1100.00. I thought to my self this would be a great oppurtunity to build my car while being in Japan and shipping it to the States would be an ease cause it already has US tags. And the rest is history.
Here are some pics of the progress, I wish I took more pics as I went along with the build but you know how its goes.

I didn't get to take much pics of the Lexus SC300 cause it was just ugly and the interior was just totaled. The tan leathers were ripped, stains on the carpet. It was kinda embarrassing driving it around.
The old 2JZ-GE out and aero kit test fitted on.
