Hey, my 91 soarer TT requires a reseal job and I know a few members here have converted their sc300 's to a 1JZ . I need a gasket kit or just the seals I need to get the job done. Is there anywhere in North America where I can get my hands on a gasket kit/seals for a 1JZ engine??

depends whats leaking, there are a lot of interchangable parts between 2jzgte and 1jzgte.

As far as I know the head gasket is interchangeable and I think the valve gasket can be modified to fit the 1JZ. But I need a reseal job, the valve cover is leaking and the sub oil pan is leaking. There are a few seals to work with to get that far down the engine bay . . . I don't want to struggle in modifying 2JZ parts or finding other seals that may work when there should be a gasket kit out there for the job . . .

i used 2jz gte valve cover gaskets, and the oil pans do not have gaskets, they use sealant. i doubt there is a gasket kit the bottom end of the 1jz is the same as the 2jz the parts interchange

so did you replace every gasket when you had it rebuilt? or should I follow the line "if it ain't broke don't fix it?"

Toyota has everything you need. I got mine resealed @ Manhattan Beach Toyota. They did a great job and I would recomend them if you are in the South Bay. SoCali.

if it aint broke dont touch it unless u are already in the area and the price will cost alot to fix later on.

Call Jeff At Champion Toyota. $138 isn't bad for the entire gasket set including valve stem seals...
