Default fuel cut or boost cut?

took my car out for a drive today. its a 1jzgte and when im around 5500rpm full throttle the car would cut going on 3rd. it would cut only once and thats it. also happened last week in 4th gear but only once. did some more pulls and was smooth. could it be a boost cut or fuel cut? also i thought 1j's cut boost at 11psi but today it cut around 14psi. dont have a bcc or fcd.

fuel cut on the 1jz is 14psi, i hit it all the time with the bigger turbo ypipe and no exhaust. time for fcd and wideband or piggyback fuel computer!

prettymuch any with a datalogger, buy the best u can afford. an safc will not remove fuel cut, u need a wb if u are using a fcd to mak esure u do not lean out if u are adding more boost ie. more than 14psi. the way the fcd works is by intercepting the map sensor voltage before the ecm and when u hit over 5v 14psi, it shows the ecm 4.99 so u dont get fuel cut. now u can't add more fuel because the ecm is only gonna see 4.99v because of the fcd and the safc can only work within the 0-5v range. to remove boost cut and add more fuel u need something like greddy e-manage. so if u plan on staying close to 14psi go ahead use the fcd and use the wb to make sure u are safe and not going to lean.

Also make sure that if ypur car has been swaped to a manual trans from auto that you have the right computer. My car is a swap and the only problem i had to fix was a speed limiter but i can go almost 180mph and i don't have any problems fule or boost cut.
