Default Post pics of where you mounted your BOV

I just got a hks ssqv, and im looking for a spot to mount it. I am thinking on the turbo side of the intercooler down in the wheels well. There isn't much room on the TB side but i just wanted to see some pics to see how it looks in different spots. I do not want to know advantages/disadvantages of which side its mounted on i already know that. I just want to know where it will look best.

Default BOV pictures

If you go in to the photo gallery and go under club lexus member gallery and type my name (oz man) in the search bar the pictures of my car will come up and you can see that my BOV is mounted in front of my intake manifold. I hope this helps you out.

i doubt you have surge from that location...supposedly that is the best place to mount your BOV.

thanks for the pics i still think im going to do it opposite form cherplex, the pass side.

And how is rain going to get in your bov? it is closed untill you let off the gas and then it is pushing air out, there is no way it is going to be getting any rain IN it, maybe some on it but thats not going to do anything.

Mine without the bumper on. With the bumper, you can see it through the front scoop next to the foglight.

Hey man! I met you for a quick second a while back at the quaker steak meet in clearwater...

I had mine in the same place as trangk and cherplex.... I drove it in the rain but only when I had to and nothing really happened from it....... Putting it on the opposite side of the intercooler is fine, but it supposed to be as closed to the throttle body as possible.

Welded to the throttlebody coldside is the best location think about when your throttle plate closes all the excess boost has to run all the way back through the intercooler if its on the hot side it increasing the chance of compressor surge.
