Does anyone know what the maximum overbore is for a 98+ 1uz? Not that the year matters I asssume all the blocks are the same.

I would guess somewhere in the neighborhood of 5.0L since I've seen a 1.8L Honda overbored to 3.0

Thanks but that is not exactly what I needed.

The 1uz has sleeved cylinders which supposedly limit the amount that they cylinder is capabale of being bored.

I was asking with respect to .010 .020 or .030 etc

You should be able to go .020 over without getting too thin in spots. I'm more used to the 4.7L iron block and the max overbore for that is .080, we usually run .040 over. The 1uz is a different animal with the allow block and iron sleeves. If you're looking to rebuild and freshen up the motor, then stick with the minimum amount of overbore you can get away with. That way if something catastrophic happens, you can always bore a little more.

Thanks man,

Eric
