Default 2jz-ge NA-T motor question?

Which model engine for the SC 300 has stronger internals and which one can boost more? 92-97 or 98-00 vvti engine.

Best applications for NA-T's are pre-95's, although the 96-98 isn't too much of a pain. What you want is an OBDI motor.

THE NON-VVTI ENGINE INTERNALS ARE STRONGER SO THEY ARE BETTER TO TURBOCHARGE. 1992-1995 models are OBDI and non-vvti so choose a year in between there.

BTW all of this can be found by using the SEARCH FUNCTION on the forum.

Thanx 4 your help guys. I've been really thinking of either turboing my stock motor or swaping it with a 2jz-gte motor. It seems like the stock motor isn't going to cut it.

Well what is your power goal? The 2jzge can handle alot of power. Especially if you build it with stronger rods, pistons, etc.

Yup. The parts hunting is always always stressful. Complete kits, while expensive, are like buying a luxo-cruiser over a regular grocery-getter.
