Default 2JZGTE into 1992 SC300 "manual"

I'm about to start securing parts I need for the swap, and have searched for this infamous guide. I've seen a gent named Phil who I guess put alot of work into creating it and was wondering if he still sells a copy? I'm against pirating literature that included sweat and blood so I'm trying to figure out how to get a copy. I work on an Airbase so my time is a bit limited, so I can't really devote a lot of time to trial and error. If anyone can help me out, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Ohhh I know what guide you are talking about! The Ultimate SC300 guide! Kinda hard to find. I'd check up on the Supra forums for this guide also.

Oh I didn't notice you are given an electronic copy of the manual. Well I got it, and that actual process is nothing I can't handle, however the parts list seems like a pain in the **** to aquire. I live in Yuma AZ and there isn't a scrap yard that even knows that a Toyota is, let alone a Supra till' you get around Phoenix. Is there anyone from Phoenix area that can instil some knowledge about a decent parts yard or tuner? I already ordered my GTE so I guess I'm already a foot in the door. :P First off, I need to run down the ECU, Throttle and Cruise control cables. Any suggestions?

Will an A/T ECU work if I'm going to use my stock Sc300 5 Speed Tranny? All of the service guys say this will work, and the M/T ecu would be needed if I'm using the 6 speed tranny... advice anyone?

You should be able to get by with the A/T ECU with your manual trans... there might be some minor mapping issues, but nothing you can't overcome if you can't dig up the manual ECU... Of course, if you had the auto transmission, you'd definitely need the matching ECU to drive it.

Happy motoring!

You could always use a jspec ecu, run 440cc injectors that come with the aristo motor, and no resistor pack or MAF meter. You will be limited to about 400hp but it will get the swap done.

Yes, there is a difference. See my above post. Those are the differences as well as turbo's. Cams are nearly identical as well. There is supposedly a 2 degree shorter duration. Aristo 2jz also has no EGR or EGR cooler on the back of the head so it is safer for #6 cylinder. You'll aslo have to use the stock motor mounts (or supra) and oil pans. Water pump is also different, it has a hydraulic pump built into it for the hydraulic cooling fan which you can just leave empty, but the factory one will swith over as well. A few other minimal differences.

It might be best to look into a used standalone aftermarket ECU because you will be droppin i few 100s for used oem ecu anyways. If ur goin for big power in the future this would be a very good idea.
