What would we do w/o great mechanics!!!!!!
As some of you may have read over the past week my SC had to go to the mechanics w/ transmission problems... The last time I had it serviced which was about 2 yrs ago. I had it done by a guy over in ATL that worked at a dealership and he did it on the side... Problem was he told me he had to use gasket sealer because Lexus didnt make a gasket… It turns out he didnt do such a great job and it was sucking air... The mechanic Im using now is Volvo, Honda & Acura certified and opened his own shop and has been working on my cars the past year and has been doing a great job and has saved me a ton of money… Anyways my mechanic called me and said he wanted to try replacing the transmission filter and gasket that he thought maybe it was sucking air and causing the problem... So he put it on the lift and drained the fluid over night and when the filter came the next day surprise surprise it came with a gasket... Bottom line is took a test drive hit 100mph and shifted up and down w/ no problem... Also, had the check engine light & air bag light fixed & the oil changed... Total bill less than $250!

I've dealt with a number of good mechanics and found them to be professional and I have a respect and need for their capabilities.

Without great mechanics, every MAN would work on his own car-- and more women would-- Then we would all be great mechanics-- Though it's unknown if the lesser of the mechanically inclined could completely understand all 4 basic systems of an automobile--
