Default Early stages of a Auto to 5 speed swap "How To"

I've been slowly putting together a Auto to 5 speed "How To" website for the SC300 guys that want to swap thier Auto's to a 5 speed. I'm hoping within a couple more days I should have everything pretty much wrapped up.

My swap was finished a little over a week ago and my car runs great. No complains.

The site is up and running, but I'll be updating it as I finish each page.

Any input/changes would be greatly appreciated. So maybe we can get this auto/manual swap stickied.

Thanks, it's hard trying to describe everything in detail. Especially since I don't have as many pictures as I'd like to have. I forgot to take a bunch while I was working on the swap. You get side tracked on the actual work and forget about the pictures for the "How To"

O well.....

But like I said, if anyone has any suggestions on things to add/change, let me know and I'll get them fixed. I want to make the swap as user friendly as possible.

What is it about an engine or transmission that never seems to make it to the engine and transmission forum? What an illusive creature that forum is.....

It's ok, I moved it for you

I've updated the website with a couple more pages. I'm working on sorting out all the wiring and compiling a couple pages. I'm also going to put together a page for the torque specs. If anyone has any good pictures of the W58 out of the car can you send it my way so I can put it on the website? (Aaron@slidestyle.net)

Thanks to everyone who is being patient with me. I'm only getting a hour or so a night to work on this. Been too busy with work.

I have a 1993 sc400 my tranny is going out. I noticed this thread says sc300. Can this 5 speed swap be done on the SC400?

Not unless your SC400 has a 2JZ-GE in it. This procedure won't work with the V8 that's in the SC400.
