Default 2JZGTE w/67mm Turbo, exhaust question...3 Mufflers, or 2 Resonators & 2 Mufflers?

I know this sounds like a strange question, and I have been doing some reading...but I am not sure what will sound better and not end up as some drastic performance hinderer. Power goal is right around 500rwhp w/67mm turbo through a built 4spd.

4" DP/MP -> 4" Inlet, dual 3" outlet muffler -> 2 x 3" inlet mufflers in stock location

or

4" DP/MP -> 4" Inlet, dual 3" outlet Y-pipe - > 2 x 3" inlet resonators -> 2 x 3" inlet mufflers in stock location

The plan is to keep the car as quiet as possible, while not overly restricting the flow. Going for the sleeper effect.

Setup is going to be a WOTM T4 Manifold, PT 67mm w/.69AR (3" vband), WOTM 4" DP/MP...

I would go 4" exhaust no cat or resonators, open WG dump, and 1 muffler. lol.

I have a 3" exhaust that splits into two 2.5" exhaust. One resonator and one muffler on each side- so I've got 2 mufflers and 2 resonators. It's not TOO loud in normal driving- but damn, when that dump opens up, it sounds like all hell is breaking loose

I've currently have the 4"dp to 4"mp to 2 3" resonators and 2 apex mufflers. The car is not that loud, it's got a nice deep rumble, compared to most supras with 4"

I've been running your 1st choice 4" -> 2-3" no resonators. I wouldn't
change a thing.

well you want as many mufflers and resonators as possible to be quiet jsut make sure they are free flowing... cats will make a car quieter as well.... DONT run onpen dump WG if you want it to be quiet ... honestly the exhasut will quiet down in boost.... less engine niose and more jetplane like wooosh.... if the wastegate is open dump itll sound like all hell breaking loose

My plan is running 4" dp/mp to 3" y to dual 3" mufflers. No resonators. I had 4" all the way back on my old supra running single turbo and it was a bit loud. Open WG is the only way to go The look on people's faces is memorable

Not the best pic's. I made the 'Y' from scratch, stuffed 2-3" pipes into a 4".
Picked up 28 whp @ 18PSI over a single sided super dragger w/ resonator
section delete, 3" DP/MP combo.

Sorry for the delayed response...thanks for the pics! Now I just have to find a competent exhaust shop that can work with stainless...I cannot weld...

Would you ever consider duplicating your setup?

How is ground clearance (speed bumps for example)

Figured I had to ask!

Ah.... sorry no.
Check on SF, Boostlogic or WOTM were talking about making a similar set
up for the SC. Look in the vendors section. I couldn't wait for them to do
it over years ago.
