Default My baby is sick again, HELP!

My SC4 is driving me insance, more and more problem keep on coming. My power steering is acting up again. If i drive my car grandma style that is keeping it under 3000rpm and everything is fine. But if I rev or floor it above 3000rpm my powersteering is shut off. To make the powersteering activate again I have to be at a stoping point then rev it(netrual) and move the steering around till it free up. Do you guy have any idea what could it be? Thanks for all your reply.

yeah the bearing on the pulley or the pulley itself is bindning at higher rotational speeds. i might be wrong but that would be my first guess.

Ok, here the update. Yesterday I just got sick of it so I take it out and beat da hell out of it for like an hour or so and now everything is working like it should now . I still would like to know what is going on though.

not really.. the only time i think its need to be done is.. when u replace the pump. goes check the fluid and see if u got lil metal shaving in it.. if u do see something shinny in the fluid replace the pump. btw i dont use "power steering fluid", i use ATF fluids a better kind of hydraulic fluid.

ATF is what the manual reccomends. You can flush your power steering system with a simple drill pump setup. If there is metal in the canister, its probably time for a new pump. Make sure you flush the crap out of the resivor with brake clean to get all the crap out of the metal mesh filter.
