Default Help my oil is leeking !!

My oil recently been leeking and i just took it to a shop to re-thread it they char ged me $50 for that and regular oil. Okay, so the next day it leeks again what do i do???

First, it's spelled "leak".. Leek is an herb/vegie ;-). Second, just have the shop throw some dye in your oil and use a blacklight to find where it's leaking from exactly. Or just clean up the surrounding area and watch for where it's coming from.

Probaly the gasket seals need to be replaced (ultra common). I had mine done a few years ago at the lexo dealership and was charged like $700

Thank god it's leeking and not leaking!!! If it were leaking you would have a mess. Oh, you meant leaking......


When you say "re-thread", I am assuming you are talking about the drain plug?? Did they put a new drain plug gasket on?

What area on the motor is the oil leaking from? (front, left, right side or rear?) If your oil pan was "re-threaded" get the last shop that did a oil change to buy you a new oil pan and plug. (Dont use that lube shop again)
