So if I........(tuning kind of)
First off, what is the stock psi of 1jzgte twins? If i were to remove my SAFC and run that psi on my single turbo would it be a safe way to go or does haveing that one turbo make a differance.
I don't feel like street tuning with the SAFC because my MAP-ECU will be here within a week and if I were to street tune I would drop the psi from 18 (now) to 8 or 10. So if the stock pressure is around 8-10 why not eliminate the SAFC and run off the ecu.

stock PSI is 12... You can get by with the stock twins at 15psi (which won't last long) by using 440's JDM 2jz injectors. And the 2jz Map sensor. i tried it personally when i had a 1j in my Supra and it works good. You won't hit full cut untill 18psi. But the twins give up @15psi. Not right away but soon enough. Just go single and wait for the MAP. whats acouple of days ?

No, I'm asking if running my single setup (on there now) at 15 psi (stock pressure) is safe without use of the SAFC. Just useing the ecu, eliminating the SAFC all together. I have 550's on there now.

Everything SC400 said was wrong.
Stock boost is 10psi. You don't need 440cc injectors to run 15psi, or a 2jzgte JDM map. The 1JZGTE map sensor reads to 18.5 PSI. The 380cc injectors are good for around 350whp. I ran my twins at 18psi for a year, on stock ecu with fuel cut, stock fuel injectors. Ran 10.5 a/f ratio at WOT.
What size single do you have? Thats the most important thing. If you have 550's and remove the SAFC, your car probably won't even idle because it will be too rich, or idle really bad. Off boost it will run rich as heck also. 550's are 33% bigger then the stock 380's. Without fuel correction, your car will run 33% richer, all the time.
Congrats for using the MAP ECU on the 1JZ, if you have problems just talk to Jared at PHR.... he actually is the guy who figured it all out for the 1jz.

At 15psi on a 35R, your pushing more air then any set of twins can do. I would just slap the wide band on.. set your SAFC2 to -33% across the board, and fine tune with the wideband on the SAFC map. You can accomplish this in about 5 mins and 2 or 3 WOT runs down any road.
You can safely use the SAFC2 and 550's to 18psi. To go higher boost you will need the MAP ECU. On the SAFC setup at 18 on 93 octane, you should be around 470whp with the 35r.

Oh definately the wideband is going in regardless. Previous owner didn't have one and was only on SAFC..not too safe. I have the SAFC not SAFC2 and the MAP-ECU (1) will be comeing next week.
Are there any links where I can learn how to use the SAFC. Right now i just know how to switch modes, not adjust anything.
