Default Is it worth buying a torque converter for my 92 sc400

im trying to make my car faster without swapping out the 1UZ-FE. the dragon torque converter is 700 bucks and my local shops want 500 to install it. so basically im paying 1200 for the torque converter. is it worth it for 1200 or are there better ways to spend my money to make the car fast. Current things i already have to make the car lighter/faster are:

19inch Volk Racing GT-7 19x8.5 front with 19x9.5 rear
Toyo tires
Tein Comfort Sport coilover suspension
Borla Catback exhaust
Injen intake
Corbeau front seats (not installed yet)

I understand i can go with a 50shot of wet NOS as well but will that be bad on my cars engine in the long run?

this is what Luxury mods has to say about the converter:

Dragon Torque Converter Upgrade- Single Disc
Dragon Torque Converter Upgrade Features: - 9.5" diameter - better torque multiplication than OEM - A Unique Billet Front Cover - 4130 CNC Machined Turbine Hub - Sealed Torrington Bearings - Furnace Brazed Impeller & Turbine - Anti-Ballooning Plate - Reinforced Turbine Vanes - Heat Treated Precision Hubs - Electronically Balanced - Pressure Tested - This is the best and least expensive modification that delivers real world performance increases. It does not effect the driveability of the car and keeps the luxury aspect intact. Also fits the 90-00 LS400, 01-03 LS430, 98-02 GS400, 03-05 GS430. These converters are made to order. Normally take 7-10 days to ship. Default stall speed is 2800 but you can special order any stall speed from 2400-6000. TWO YEAR warranty.

Nitrous is the only inexpensive thing you can do to make the SC4 quicker.

The mods you listed don't really do much to make the car and faster or quicker.

The TC will help quite a bit off the line. Which is where the SC is lacking big time.

Thanks so i guess my future upgrades consist of nos and torque converter. Do you know the difference between the RMM and the Dragon converters?
The RMM is $300 more.

Couldn't say anything on the difference as I haven't had any personal experinece with either. But, I'm sure someone here can chime in on their personal experiences.

check out lextreme.com He has a torque convertor for 300-400, and it works nicely. If it breaks, send it back and he'll get u another one.
