Information requested about 1JZ injectors
Hello people,
I am new(semi) to this forum. I just purchased a 93 SC with a JZ transplanted into it and am trying to do some 'go fast' upgrades.
I need to confirm or find out some information regarding the injectors.
What size(cc) are the stock 1JZ injectors?
Are they yellow top?
What impedance are the stock injectors, low or high?
Is an injector resistor needed to install the 2JZ 550cc injectors?
Where, if there is one, is the injector resistor(s)?
What horsepower can be attained with stock injectors safely(decent o2 and EGT levels)?
Also, is any of you 1J people running the MAP ECU, if so is that a good unit to tune with(not sure if I want to go standalone as yet)?
Sorry for all the questions but this is the way to learn right?
I've done some searching and have found a little info, I guess I'm just hoping 1 or 2 gurus step up here and lend a hand and offer knowledge that has been learned. Possibly a consistent contact point for(maybe a fellow New Yorker).
Many thanks,
Tim
