sparks coming from my A/C compressor
Well I just got my SC300 about a month ago, it runs great and has 198770 miles. I took it on it's first road trip to Orlando from Miami and on the way home from Orlando I was hitting about 110mph and the A/C light started blinking, the compressor sounded like it turned off and stopped blowing cold air. I was only doing 110 for a few seconds most of the time I was cursing at 80. I turned the A/C off the rest of the way home because I figured that there was something wrong I just didn't know what. When I got home I opened the hood to see if I could find the problem, so I turned on the A/C and ran under the hood to see if I could notice anything and I did, the A/C compressor was sparking for a few seconds and then stopped, well I figured that the clutch is seized and it is not allowing the inner part of the A/C pulley to spin. Does anyone know if this is something I can fix or can I just buy the clutch for the compressor or am I just stuck buying a whole new unit . If anyone has any ideas please let me know. Thanks.
