Since you're in NJ, there's a place in Kearny that you can go check out: JDM Engine depot, they have motor sets for 2200, and you can go check them out. I've dealt with these guys personally, and they do good business, with great products and prices.

Been there knowing i live in Dirty Jerz. well besides that crappy kearney which my friend worked at theres on better. Japanese Engines. its in paterson. take 80e or 80w and take exit 57. Down town paterson. take a left on Grand st. then i think its you 2nd right on Spruce st. once on Spruce st its a brick building on your left. across the gulf gas station. i think the number is 60 spruce st. i bought three motors there. Two H22a's(prelude motor) for a 95 civic hatch, and a 96 civic hatch. and of course my 2JZ. it was for $1900 with out the auto tranny. and $2200 with the auto tranny.
and for the hell of it if you want to see my 12sec civic......
