Hi guys. well , I have some questions about SC's, being that I really like the idea of getting me one of this after selling my AE86 20V T. Now, since in AZ where I live is PLAGUED with Sc400, I have an idea of what I would need to drop a 2JZ and probably go with a 5-speed manual tranny BUT I only have an idea. If any of you guys can give me some pointers or link me up to a walk trough or writte up on this sort of conversion that would be great! Thanx!

I am not sure exactly what you are looking for....

The 300 comes with a 2JZ-GE. The manuals are rare -but by no means impossible to find. The 2JZ-GE can be given a thicker head gasket to reduce compression and make boost a more serious possibility. There are some serious set ups out there like this.

If you want to swap a Supra engine, look to get better value by buying a higher mileage car since you will not be needing the engine.

Regardless, the stock W58 manual in the SC holds 350rwhp well. There are reports of guys with 400+rwhp on the tranny, but you are really starting to push the limits. Nevertheless, finding an SC with a 5 speed is probably a lot easier than buying an auto and performing a tranny swap. Again, they are hard to find, but certainly not impossible.

well, all I was saying is that where I live (tucson az) you can find say, like a 95 SC400 for around 3200 or 3800 with 160~180K miles. An SC300 is rare here in the state and when one goes up for sale it is usually above 5K... even for a 92~93... So my exact question was if someone has performed an SC400-2JZ conversion and if they could point me out to a link, website or contact... or if it will be more cost effective to pay for shipping and just buy an out of state SC300.

My plans where to do a 2JZGTE on my 95 GS 300 but since I am selling my AE86, I rather get me an SC, do the swap on it and have it as my fun car/weekend driver while I still daily drive my nice stock reliable GS and aslo use it as my family car. BTW, here is a pic of my car:
