Default Whipped up a CAI 'till the turbo

Got the SC back from the body shop (picked up a 97 black black five speed with a damaged door/quarter panel) and within an hour we dropped it on supra KYB/Eibach (thanks allen). It was irritatingly slow, like the slowest thing I've ever driven in my life by far so I had to at least make some noise or something until I get the AEM EMS in it and whatnot.

3" Stainless Tig welded 304 with 308 rod at 48-50 amps. .065 wall. 4 ply silicone bump connectors, stainless grade 8 t-bolt clamps and an AEM dry flow. Sounds good! Still the slower than frozen **** in jan.

At the same time my friend install the megan coilovers. Very good quality. In fact I feel that the hardware is in some ways better than some very expensive coilovers, and leaps and bounds better than tein.

Enjoy!

I like the progress, Install looks very clean. Do you weld your own parts?

I always wished I had a 300 so I could turbo it... I’ve just never had the time to do it, and with a 400 its just a p.i.t.a

props to you keep up the good work!!

My welds look pretty much like yours do now, I don’t get as much practice as I'd like, but I want to get the Roll of quarters look, But its hard on a circular surface like the intake pipe and on aluminum and other relatively softer metals. I always seem to mess up in someway or another

Grind them down!? Are you crazy? ahaha, I love the way welds on stainless look.

Luckily, it rains like three times a year in so-cal.

Probably. Not really my style, though. It didn't take me long to make.

nice welding. T bolts are a bit overkill for an intake system dont you think? well..at least they work good
