Recently my Overdrive light keeps blinking and my speedometer stops working when this happens. Is this some kind of a code that the car is having problems?

Also...the car powersteering went bad a couple months ago and Ive been driving it the whole time with no power steering. Does this matter?

The Flashing O/D light is the equivalent of the check engine light for the transmission.

Since your Speedo is dying, it's probably the No. 1 Speed Sensor, but diags would be able to tell you more.

jump te1 to te in the diagnosis box in the engine bay. count the flashes and determine the code.

Does this procedure works for 1st gen GS300's and Supra TT trannys as well?

I had the flashing OD light in my soarer and after replacing a couple of leaking capacitors in the ECU it stopped.
