2jz Vs 1jz
I would like to make my swap soon on my 93 SC. I hear bad and goods from both the 1jz and 2jz and i cant decide which to get for the swap , which would u guys recomend for Power And Reliablity. And if u guys may can u guys list the good and bads for each motor. THanks !!

ur car already has a 2jz (2jz-ge). are u talking about a 2jz-gte? from my research, 2jz-gte swap will be quite expensive...may as well just do a turbo 2jz-ge. don't have info on 1jz. what are ur power goals?

Dude seriously.....You can get all the info you need by using the search function. Select advanced and go under forced induction for the SC300/SC400. You can read for days on all the info that comes up.
Also with all power & reliability issues between the diffrent options aside, from what I can remember (and it's not much), I think someone said you can not get a 1jz SC300/400 legally smogged in Cali. So your probably better off just turboing the motor you have if you got a 300. NOS for a 400.
