Default DRAGON Torque Convertor Single Disc

Supposedly it gives 40-50 HP to the real wheels.
Has anyone used this converter or heard about it?
Is it worth 700 bucks? How does it perform?

I also have a bridge for sale!

Really now.............

A replacement torque converter only raises the stall speed of the converter. It CANNOT add hp. The ABSOLUTE best one can do os possibly free up wasted hp due to less friction. At best...only a couple hp at the wheels. The 40-50hp thing???? HAHAHAHAHA

No, it's actually a great product!!! By raising the stall speed of the converter, it keeps the motor in its power band. The 40-50hp is deceiving. The way it sounds its as if you are actually gaining power when in actuality you are just better utilizing the power the car already has.

The trans in the SC is very poor off the line. An upgraded torque converter helps improve off the line performance.

Do remember that's there's a price to pay.......decreased fuel mileage.

What it can do is give you a significant spike of torque early on to get you a substantially improved launch. As the previous poster said it does not add HP.

Precision Industries (who makes the Dragon) has a website with a lot of information, check it out.

hurts your speed though at higher rpm's though like when driving on the highway

you gain some, you lose some

combined with some new headers this is an amazing product

The worst part for me is both parts are labor intensive to install, and without a lift really hard. I will keep looking for easier install parts other than nitrous.

When the t/c locks up during cruise, it shouldn't be any different than stock on the highway-
