Default 2JZGTE swap. Car starts, dies in 2-3 seconds

Anyone have any ideas whats happening? Its an Aristo 2JZGTE with full USDM conversion, into my SC300. OBD1 SC300, 95 USDM Wiring harness, 95 TT ECU. The car will start and die everytime in the same 2.5-3 seconds, no difference in time when it dies.

One person suggested fuel pump, but i dont understand why, I hear the pump turning on at full blast. However this is the guy who wired my car, and I probably trust him the most.

One person said it was a incorectly wired MAF, because he had the same 2-3 second problem. Im wondering if the MAF has to be installed a certain way.. I currently have it installed with the MAF plug facing the bottom of the car, will it matter if i turn the MAF sensor 180 degrees and have the plug visible from the top?

Also.. I dont have the downpipe hooked up yet, so one o2 sensor is just hanging, but that wouldnt cause a shut down would it?

I know in a GS that the MAF has to be facing the right direction - so it could be the problem. Check it - only take 30 secs to find out.

You can try asking this in www.supraforums.com as there are lot's of members with 2JZ-GTE SC300 there. You'll get better response there. Good luck.

I agree. Its most likely the MAF or whatever measurement device you're using... if its a usdm conversion; then it should be the hotwire maf

As soon as I read the title I was thinking Fuel pump, now hearing your case I'm leaning more towards the MAF. I don't think the 02 sensor would kill your car. Let us know what it is.
