Engine size and displacement is a factor. I have a greddy rs on my 1JZ and it sounds different than the ones I heard on Civics and Evos.

i've also heard it in supra tt and it sounded the same as well..?? unless the engine was built or something that's why it sounds different..

I didnt hear the bov... I did hear a wastegate though

Its definitely an HKS SSQ my turbo MR2 sound like it. It flutters sometimes.
Splat, the hks bov sound is towards the end when he lifts. I belive he has an auto trans so, no bov in between shifts

haha, its my car, and its not the bov......the flutter is the compressor surge on the turbo, also the external wastegate has ALOT to do with it, i do have a HKS SSQV but you cant even hear it over that wastegate....ask any single turbo 1j or 2j or any car for that matter with the bigger turbo, thats the sound it will make when blown off with medium to high boost.....(6-15)
