love the sound, I just dont think the idle suits the supra (in your vid, it doesnt sound to bad, im talking about in the vid listed below), I think it would make some guys go crosseyed, when the heard the sound, then saw the car it was coming from lol. Nevertheless when pressure is applied on the pedal, the car does emit a very scary, but nice, noise.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of that NAS K AR sound-- Ricky Bobby and all of em--
They can keep it-- and mail me their mufflers-- I'll use em--
I like a near stock or well controlled sound-- none of this-- aaaaaaAAAAAAHHHHHHHH soundin stuff that makes old people jump at red lights..
But to each his own--
The ITB's sound wicked-- BUT-- you can't run a MAF system without doing a pretty tricky intake plenum over the ITB's into one pipe--
It's still nice to listen to in a video though....

These guys have stock heads, .350" lift cams, beefy springs, 8X 40mm throttle bodies, and true headers, making 330hp to the wheels-------
My estimate, based on the fact that they are spinning the motor 8000 or so, is that it gives massive gains in the midrange and upper rpms--
They said that the factory manifold creates 15% loss, the heads only 3% on the flowbench--
I doubt the ITB's create any loss more than 3~5% -- so probably somewhere around 45 hp on a modded engine like that-- maybe more like 50~.

A lot of guys have claimed to spin the 1uz to 8000 ~ 9000 -- granted, it would take standalone to do it, as well as a good balancing-- but it's similar in size so it's very realistic to spin it that high-- and the twin cam system is more than capable with the right springs -- so it's not too far fetched--
Those guys spinning the motor to 7500 and 8000 on planetsoarer are doing it on a stock bottom end-- even stock valvetrains--
I too absolutely love the sound- there's nothing like N/A power-- it's intoxicating and way more exotic than forced induction- especially in a european car--

loved to see an N/A 1UZ pump out 400 ponies...
the turbo one is nice, but it doesn't take as much tuning required for an n/a. with turbos they need to be spooled up in order for the power to come on, but with n/a its just stomp and go. the power is just there...thats the beauty of n/a power.

When you change the flow characteristics of a N/A motor, driveability can suffer much like turbo lag on a 4 banger--
Whereas, a turbo v8 can retain stock cams and keep the lowend grunt --
N/A takes a lot more smarts in a different area to tune--
These high end/low end power compromises are exactly why you see Nissan and Toyota using a combination of VVTI/CVCTS and variable length intake runner manifolds-- there's some serious technology going on in those types of motors--
Overall, a good 5 spd with a good driver can get the motor up on cam pretty easy and get the full potential of the gains--
A tweaked N/A motor runs a lot more like a 2 stroke motorcross bike in reference to powerband-- and much less like the powerband of a truck--
Nothing, nothing, nothing, all the sudden a big kick in the pants and you're smoking your tires..

There are probably 30 more but I figured this was enough.
