Shrummi, you're my hero--
I stayed up last night googling 1jzgte, soarer front clip, 1jzgte clip, soarer clip, JDM 1jzgte, jdm front clips, jdm front clip---- you know--
I only came up with a handful of places -- and all the clips were around $3000--
I would obviously prefer to spend a little less than that--
I'm considering the different options to bring a SC400 to life--
The 2.5 sounds like a good good option-- By the time you spend the money modding a 1UZ, you couldve swapped a 1jz--
Then you're a grand away from 300+ whp -- whereas the 1UZ costs BOATLOADS to get it to 300 whp-- and needs a tranny swap -- which is more money..

yea clips can cost you a pretty penny, and it's not easy finding a good manual tranny clip from a soarer. G-speed has 5 soarer front clips for $1800 but they're all auto. i think i'm gonna just buy a engine and 5speed tranny and buy the parts that i need for the swap.

Yeah that is soooooo cheap-- but it's b/c theyre auto-- I also think the auto is the A154 or whatever comes with the 1UZ-- so it's pointless really to get that clip ---
I'm wondering what one could do with a supra clip 1jzgte--- there's a lot of them around --
What exactly is it that keeps a supra 1jz and m/t from fitting a soarer???

I wouldn't touch that ****-- sitting directly on dirt-- with missing pieces--
I of course would have to get a clip anyhow-- as I have an SC400-- so I'd need the pedals, clutch cylinder, hyd. lines.... driveshaft I think-- shifter trim-- on and on--

have ya'll ever driven an auto supra???
with a stall and an upgraded valve body, they are more fun than a stick to drive, both on the highway, around town, and even at the drag strip...
the only time I would want a 5/6-speed car is if I seriously planned on auto cross or road racing the car... autos are way faster in Supra as well... my buddy with a stock turbo / stock smic / stock motor supra with a 4k stall went 11.96 on good tuning and pump gas (HKS AFR) and street tires... with a 50 shot of nitrous, went 11.4... automatic is where it's at on these cars... especially if you are doing any kind of standing starts....
also, although trans may have the same codes, the supra have 6 clutch packs versus the 4 in the lexus... they can hold 50% more power, and a built auto trans ($1800 from Boostlogic) will handle upwards of 650-700 or more...
