Default change to jdm cross member so i dont have to get new oil pan?

i cant find a new mid sump oil pan...

and i saw a jdm soarer cross member on ebay.

if i got a new cros member would i then be able to drop my 1jz with the front sump in or would the steering rack still be in the way?

I can't find the thread that went into details about which car had which set up but I remember coming to the conclusion that it's best to just remove the oil pan off your stock 2J and bolt that on your 1j. You will need to tap it for the additional oil lines but it's pretty much a free part and you know it will fit with your car.

nah, just find a member with an old one that's swapping and doesn't need it. I'm swapping alot of stuff off my stock 2j so even if you had to buy a member's old 2J, it might be worth it if it's cheap.
