Default 1jz head on 2jz block easy?

i know that the 1jz head will bolt on.

im gettting a 1jz pretty soon within the next 1-2 weeks

and my brother has a spare 2jz engine with blown heads.

what is all needed for it to be done?

would all the plugs fit?

do i have to use 2jz tranny?

and since im using the 2jz block would i be able to get more horsepower like the 2jz's?

look up in the FI section for info on the "1.5JZ" or check out the JZ section of the MKIII section on Supraforums for quite a bit of info....once it's back up...

in all honesty, just stick with the 1J motor and perhaps keep the block around if you REALLY want to do it in the future. No sense in tearing apart a perfectly good motor.

rock the 1j for now and send out the 2j block to get done up. you'll be happier in the end.

yes...but don't discount the potential of the 1JZ it's there, just rarely fully tapped.

in the end it's going to be more of a pain than it's worth. if you blow your bottom end, you've got a fall back with the 2J block, make sure it's a GTE or you might have some extra add ons to do
