If you'd like to sell the V160, post in the Club Lexus classifieds. If you're looking for a valuation, I'd recomend you edit this post.

As a note, any FS thread needs to have an asking price, or it'll get locked.

switched whats a fair asking price to value. thought this was pretty clear thats it wasnt a FS add but instead asking what the trans is worth

maybe you didnt read it all the way through? i dont know? hope it works now...thanks

the fact that it grinds reduces the value. I think at the very minimum, most folks will offer $1,000. I think you can get more for it..but not from me .

Back when I bought my getrag, it payed 1100 shipped for it. The guy told me it was fine and had no grinds whatsoever. He wasn't a supra guy, but rather a domestic guy that had the tranny laying around his shop, so I purchased it. Then it came to installing it and finding out there was a horrible third gear grind.

I was pretty pissed, but at the same time, couldn't be for the price I payed for it. It would have costed me around 1500 to rebuild, so with a total of 2600 for a refreshed tranny, it was around average.

I see used trannys sell for around 2200-3000 if you can find them.

I did come across an un-opened brand new getrag locally for $3000 and jumped on it. There's just something about having a brand new tranny for the price of used ones.

And if I were you, without knowing the history or condition of the trans, I'd ask around 1600-2000. And thats if you can't warranty it.

Peter
