Looks good. I understand the concern on the converter issue, however for my car that much "work" on the tunnel is too much. I did have a question though. The Flexplate you got is it SFI approved, or just a re worked stock one? Do you have any pictures?

The trans is something special I got for my drag car (rb26 300zx) and it is supposed to be the lightest, least power robbing, and fastest th400 out there. Its made by John Kilgore www.kilgoretrans.com but it was not cheap. $5k with transbrake.

I would have never spent that much for this car, but I switched to a liberty 5-speed in the drag car and decided to use this in the SC. I tried selling the kilgore, but it wasnt going to sell unless I lost my ***, and I could not justify not using such an impressive piece of equipment. AFAIK i will be the first to try one of these trans on an import motor.

This trans is supposed to be good for 1000+ hp. He told me a 3400 lb car is running in the low 8's on this trans.

I can run a SFI flexplate, but the one I got is a custom piece from boostwerx. I believe I can run any SFI GM flexplate if I wanted to though with DaveH's adapter.

So is there an adapter, or a different flex plate? The pictures looked like standard toyota flex plate.

The way the boostwerx setup works is you bolt an adapter to the stock flexplate (so u can still utilize the starter) and then bolt another flexplate to the adapter. The good thing with this setup is the flexplate will actally "flex", compared to the RMR or other billet aluminum pieces people are using which do not flex.

i am waiting on the parts to be sent out, DaveH is waiting on the machine shop to get them done. pics as soon as i get the pieces!

The DaveH adapter kit is $750, and uses a stock GM torque converter and toyota flexplate. IDK where you got $3500 without the transmission, thats kinda inflated by $1500.
