Default Hi, I'm new here

hey all, names The Blizz. i just stumbled across your forum after doing some research on sc300's and supra motor swaps. sounds like a pretty sweet concept, something i may want to do in the future, tahts why i joined up on this forum.

currently im in the DSM game, im rocking a 93 plymouth laser turbo 4wd with some bolt ons. i realy love the 4g63 powerplant. rock solid platform. i can post pics if anyones interested.

now can somebody asnwer me some noob questions? like

when you go abouts turboing a stock sc300, you most ppl swap in a 2jzgte? or do you guys take the NA motor and slap some turbos on. in a dsm putting a turbo on an NA motor is almost as stupid as sin due to higher compression pistons and lack or oil injectors and other small things.

what ball park would i be looking to pay for when looking for a supra motor.

thats pretty much all the questions i have now.

thanks guys.

Alotta peole go w/ the 1jzgte motor. If you have high mileage, id say go w/ the motor swap, but if you got low mileage i sa go w/ the na-t.

Default Hey

Well I think that the 2jzge engine has a lot of potential. I was walking to the guys at boost logic and they can make some serious power. If you go to boostlogic.com and look around a little they have some sweet stuff. On the 650 package they can but on a bigger turbo. Serious power avalible!!!

Welcome to the club. Allow me to be the first to introduce you to www.intellexual.net. It'll answer a ton of your questions right off the bat.

As far as the NA block goes. DaveH made a stock NA supra run 9's in the 1/4. No one will laugh at you here for putting a turbo on an NA. Thats for sure. Just remember, you gotta pay to play.

1jz-gte is the motor that came on the 2.5gt soarers in japan. the 2jz-gte has sequential turbos, and a 3l bottom end. The 1jz is 2.5l. The motor that came in the SC300 is the 2jz-ge, which is non turbo 3l.
