Default JZX100 Tranny

Does anyone know if the JZX100 Toyota Chaser R154 will work on a SC300 with a 1JZ. I know it will bolt up fine to the engine, the main question is will the shifter line up correctly, unlike the JZA70 R154 which is a bit shorter. Has any tried this route for R154 cause the Soarer R154 are hard to come by.

if it looks like a tripod style shifter it will work, i have seen jzx100 and 110 that are tripods that work, but ive also seen early model jzx100 that are shorter supra mkiii style r154's,
