Default Strange noise at 60-70MPH but no where else.

Ok so I started noticing a wierd noise coming from the front passenger side. It only happens between 60mph-70mph under deacceleration. If I am on the gas anytime between 60-70 the noise goes away and if I am over or under 60 or 70 the noise is no where to be found. Whats even more interesting is if I hear the vibration and put it in neutral the noise goes away. I dunno what to make of it. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks in advance for any advice.

I doubt it is the pass side. It's likey under the tranny well. Center driveshaft bearing.

Your only other possibility is the wheel bearing which is less likely to fail.

Center driveshaft bearing ? As in the carrier bearing ? My question is if it was the carrier bearing wouldnt it make the noise 60mph and up ? It only happens between 60-70 under de-acceleration.

Very sorry to bring up an old topic. But i am having the same issue. Around those speeds 60+ if im accelerating, theres no problem, but once decellarating, i hear that whistingly/vibration from what seems to be the front passenger side. If it is indeed the center driveshaft bearing, what is needed to fix this and roughly what is the estimate.

Climb under the car first and see if it really is bad. Push up on the driveshaft to see if it moves. Not hard to replace at all. 100 bucks for the driveshaft from RJ or Aliga. A lift. A prybar (to remove old driveshaft).
