positrac for SC400
I live in Eugene,Orygun and rumor has it it rains here...a lot and hard. Rains for 3-4 months and then we qualify for annual drought relief for the rest of the year. Kool!
The board has recently had HORROR stories posted about tires that performed BAAAADLY in the rain (to quote Ron White). An A/S tire test I read recently seemed to select Mich Pilot Sport A/S as the absolute winner without serious comp. True? They cost $100 more than the competition, soo.
Wifey drives the Lex SC400 "on occasion" even though it is her car and I pay for it. I ponder her safety with more power than she has ever had or will ever need and I need some advice. Would positrac be a LARGE plus in the rain? I considered installing the "Lex. Trac Control" but have expert advice that that swap has never been done and would involve tons of swap out. Should I be looking for another SC?
Thanks for your help
I/we love this car!

I'm a newbie, but talked to Gordon Miguel at Carson Toyota and found they have the supra lsd which is a direct bolt in for the SC4, so that would work for you, but they are pretty expensive units. Supposedly bolt right in where stock differential is. Good luck. Driving in the rain shouldn't be a problem, even without lsd though.
