Default Good price of 1JZ swap?????? Suggestions

Hey everyone, I don't think my stock 2jz has much long to live so, I need to know how much is a good price for the 1JZ engine plus install at a good shop. Do you all think I could get this done for $2000 if I don't get raped on the install. I've these engine go for under 1k on eBay but I don't know if there good or not, I was never interested until now. Plus the r154 tranny goes for about $1000????? Sorry for the noob like questions, but there isn't much info on this in searching.

anyways, look to spend about $5000 on labor, clip and some OEM part replacements.

you can do the swap a lot cheaper if YOU do it.

it is very simple, i had only changed my oil before attempting it, although i did have some help(mainly undercar disconnections), and the wiring you should find someone for, but nowadays people are just letting the harness hang the ecu a bit???

Dreaming to think you can do this conversion for $2k... You'll need power steering pump, accelerator cable, intercooler and piping, clutch, modified exhaust, Supra ECU/harness, etc.... And anyone who takes an unknown engine that has been sitting in a wrecking yard and slaps it in without at least a basic overhaul is just asking for problems.

The job could easily be done yourself, which can save countless hours of mechanic time. It is not tricky, but very time consuming.
