Anyone ever had their ECM go south?
Hey,
Just a quick question. I was wondering if anyone has ever had their ECM go south. I thought I had a bad O2 sensor, but the resistance seems to be fine. The two main ones are working fine, but the other two are lazy with the left side not switching. This causes the check engine and trac off lights to come on and go off periodically. The mechanic thinks there might be something bent or not quite plugged in in the ECM, as he has had a similar thing happen before (bent). They told me they could back probe the ECM and try and figure out whats wrong. I'm just wondering if I should spend the money and just get a new ECM or let the mechanic try and fix it. If it can't be fixed, i'll be out the money for labour and have to buy a new one anyways. Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience. I searched, but couldn't find anything.
Thanks so much!
