I have a 93 sc300. I bought it used in the winter of 00. when summer came around, I noticed that sometimes it did not want to start. I did not think much of it becuase it eventually started. as the years went on it became worse. I took it to a mechanic who said it was the ignitor. I have since replaced it. bascically what happens is when it is very hot outside and I stop at one store, then to another, eventually it does not want to start and using the a/c makes it worse. anyone have an idea what it might be.

This sounds alot like what my 93 SC300 has done in the past. If it is, Im positive it is related to the theft control in some way. Although i have never been concerned enough to truly fix it.
About 8-9 months ago I turned off the switch under the steering wheel, and it stopped doing it.
Last month i decided to try and turn it to the on position, and 3 days later it did it , So i turned the switch back off. And hasnt done it again.
Anyhow good luck
